Day 10 – 05.01.2023 Fjellheisen and Beerhallen

After the long northern lights tour, I slept in. I woke up with a bit of a headache. For breakfast I had leftovers from the fridge, everything that was still there, because tomorrow I was going home again.

The weather was nice and so I decided to go to Fjellheisen first. This is Tromsø’s lookout mountain. On the way there, many tourists on the bus had mistaken me for a Norwegian and asked when they had to get off. My answer was always the same. “When I get off, you have to get off too.” The bus driver smiled because so many people asked me. At the bus stop he said in English that everyone who wanted to get to Fjellheisen had to get off now.

On the way from the bus stop to the cable car, I got into conversation with a Malaysian woman.

This time the weather was very nice and I was able to take some really beautiful photos.

Afterwards, I went back into town for a shopping spree.

In between, I chatted with Virgil and he gave me the tip about the beer halls. I should definitely check out the big polar bear at the entrance and try the Nordlys beer.

So after the shopping trip I went to the beer halls.

After the beer tasting, I went to eat something, pack my things and then it was off to bed. The alarm clock rang again at 4am. The taxi was waiting for me and off I went to the airport. Despite the very early hour, there were already a lot of people there. I also met the Asians from my Northern Lights tour again. A short hello and then we went to the plane and back home.

All in all, it was a very nice trip.
