This morning, the visit to Nordlys was on the agenda. Normally, the bus to the harbour would have left directly in front of the house, but due to road works, the bus stop was cancelled.

But behind the construction site was a small park. My accommodation was in the green house with the grey gate.

So I took the tram for a bit and then walked from the station to the harbour. On the way, I passed a sports shop and, lo and behold, I had finally found a pair of hiking pants. I’ve been looking for these since I climbed Svartisen in jeans in September 2022. If you want to know more, read the “September trip 2022” on my blog.
When we arrived at the harbour, we first photographed the Nordlys from the outside and then boarded with the guest card.

On the way to the café on deck 6, the path led past the shop. I wanted to buy one of those T-shirts with a Hurtigruten ship. Unfortunately, it was no longer available in my size. The nice saleswoman explained to me that it was a discontinued model and no longer available. I think that’s a shame, because I’ve always liked them, but there’s nothing you can do about it. I talked to the nice saleswoman for a while, half in Norwegian and half in English.

Afterwards we went to the café on deck 6, where we had the usual Norwegian waffles.

As always, I found everything that is transported very interesting. A small overview can be found here.

Time flew by and then I had to leave Nordlys again.
