The railway line between Oslo and Bergen is one of the most popular railway lines in Scandinavia. I admit, I googled the following facts. This link between West and East Norway was completed in 1909 and runs through 200 tunnels, over 300 bridges and under 28 kilometres of roofing from Oslo to Bergen. I didn’t count the tunnels and bridges on the way.
Up to the industrial town of Drammen, you could see a few houses and streets. I even saw a few people walking. After that, there were a few lakes and spectacular landscapes. In between there was a railway station.
I arrived in Bergen more than an hour late. I can’t explain how the delay came about, but it didn’t bother me. The trip was simply beautiful and I can only recommend it.
