In Bergen it was almost all rain. The Fløyen Railway had its annual revision and Mount Ulrike was only in fog. But I didn’t let it spoil my mood. Equipped with proper rainwear and an umbrella, I went sightseeing. When it rained heavily, I went to a café somewhere and always found a delicious cake. The cake selection was always very large and very tasty.
From the hotel, my route took me to the oldest surviving or restored Hanseatic trading houses in the Bryggen district. These are on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

After the walk I was a bit hungry. Somewhere I had read about the restaurant Bryggeloft and so I went there. Luckily I got a seat. It is advisable to reserve a table. The food is simply delicious, but the beer is very expensive, like everywhere else in Norway.

As it was still pouring with rain, it became a short digestive walk.

The next day I couldn’t check in on the ship until the evening, so I still had time. Ulrike was still in the fog and so I decided to visit the aquarium. It’s not a particularly big aquarium, but interesting nonetheless.

After the aquarium visit, we had coffee and cake again. On the way back to the hotel, I photographed a few different ships.

Then it was back to the hotel to get the suitcase and by taxi to the Hurtigruten terminal.
