After I came back from \u00d8rnes, I did some shopping and had breakfast. The weather was nice. I just wanted to explore the area. Virgil had to work, so we didn’t meet until the evening. I got in the car and just drove through the tunnel and was curious to see where I would come out. My first stop was the landing stage of the transfer boat to Svartisen Glacier. There I met a group waiting for the transfer boat. I was a bit confused because there was no departure time now. They explained to me that this was a private tour. I wished them a good time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Svartisen glacier was on the programme for tomorrow. After a few photos, we continued along the road. I found a cosy picnic spot with a magnificent view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How long I sat there, I have no idea. The sun was shining and I enjoyed the view. As I continued to look around, I discovered a footpath on the other side of the road. Curious, I followed it. I was rewarded with a beautiful view. There were also several signs describing which plants grew here. Unfortunately, only in Norwegian. Some of it didn’t make sense with google Translator. My hike was ended at some point by a locked gate and I had to turn back. The little excursion was definitely worth it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A coffee would be good now. Maybe I’d have more luck here. Because so far everything has always been closed. This was not to change here either. Everything was closed, no matter where I stopped 😉 .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When I got to the ferry, I found out that the next one didn’t leave for another 2 hours. No, I didn’t want to wait that long, so I went back the same way I had come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in Glomfjord I bought something for coffee and made myself a coffee and ate a vanilla roll with it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After work Virgil picked me up and we went fishing. I really wanted to catch a fish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Make an effort. If you catch one then supper is guaranteed,“ Virgil joked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„And if not?“ I asked back, smiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„If not, we’ll have to starve today,“ he said and grinned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were at the same spot where Virgil had caught the 2 fish yesterday. But today no one wanted to bite, neither with Virgil nor with me. By dark, no one had caught a fish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Now what?“, I wanted to know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Let’s starve. Come on, I’ll show you Glomfjord at night,“ he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After putting the fishing gear back in the car, he drove off. He stopped at various places and I was able to take some nice photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now you are probably wondering what we had for dinner. Of course we ate something, even though neither of us had any luck fishing. On the way back, we bought frozen fish 😊 and cooked together. We had a lot to talk about as we rarely see each other. The evening was very funny not only because of my attempts to speak Norwegian. In the end it was a mix of Norwegian and English. 😅<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As usual, the last thing before I went to sleep was the WhatsApp status and the Instagram Story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
