From Trondenes we continued to Andenes. We decided to take the overland route without the ferry, so we now had about 225km ahead of us. The following photos are from the road. I can’t tell you where exactly, because we just stopped wherever we liked and there was a possibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At some point Eva felt the need for a coffee again. There weren’t many options on the way. So we took this opportunity. First we thought about eating something, but it was only 4:30pm. We also knew that we wouldn’t have many options, but we decided to just have a coffee and a bio break. While drinking coffee, we made a nice acquaintance with a young German who is travelling through Europe by bike (can also be seen in the photo above). At the moment he was pretty wet and frozen through. He was still thinking about whether he should spend the night here in a warm room instead of in his tent. When we left again, his decision had not yet been made. And then we continued towards Andenes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The roads meandered through the lake landscape and occasionally you saw a house, but sometimes you had the impression that the roads went up to the sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we finally saw a grocery shop, we wanted to buy something so that we would have something to eat tonight and tomorrow morning. Eva was looking in vain for her beloved ready-made meals in this little shop. We bought some bread, cold cuts, cheese, fruit and vegetables. I was amazed at how far we got with our knowledge of Norwegian. They understood us and we even got the right thing. 😊<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We did not expect to find a restaurant or anything like that on the way. Our surprise was therefore great when we found this cosy pub at a small harbour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because it is always light, we have completely lost our sense of time. Only our stomachs reminded us that we should eat something. Here, too, we ordered in Norwegian and the host smiled. Our Norwegian must have sounded a bit strange, but he still didn’t speak English with us. Only the name of the dish was English, „Fish and Chips with Salad“. It suited me, as I had planned to eat a lot of fish in Norway. And this is what the Norwegian version looked like 😊<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I admit it doesn’t look special, but it was good. We also had a non-alcoholic beer and some electricity for our mobile phones. 😊<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strengthened, we tackled the last stretch to our accommodation just before Andenes. Again we passed individual houses and mown fields until suddenly a huge moose stood on the road and at first made no effort to move. We quickly pulled out our mobile phones and took a photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
