We had to pick up the key for the lodge at the clubhouse from the golf club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I made sure that everything was in order with the rental equipment and the tee time at 11pm. Eva organised another driver, as she needed the car, to pick me up from the lodge at 10pm. I would have walked too, but she said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„If it’s going to rain, it’s enough to get wet while playing golf and this way you don’t get wet on the way to the golf course.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now we went to the lodge. We were thrilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were thrilled with the logde. Large, many rooms (too many for the two of us 😊 ), kitchen and a breathtaking view of the white sandy beach. If the view is so beautiful when it rains, how beautiful it must be when the sun shines 😊.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone chose a room and then we enjoyed the view on the terrace. I can’t say exactly how long we stood there, but it was a few minutes.
Eva said goodbye briefly because she wanted to visit some friends. In the meantime it was raining again and so I sat down at the table inside and continued to enjoy the view. I looked at my mobile phone. There were lots of WhatsApp messages and an Instagram message. Most of my friends, acquaintances and work colleagues only have WhatsApp. Some of them got Instagram after my Norway trip so they could look at the photos from Norway. I answered the most important ones immediately, everything else later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Instagram friend also wanted to know if I arrived well.
„Yes, I arrived well. Going to get some sleep now or I won’t be able to play golf at midnight. Check in later.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Ok, sleep well.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was now 2pm. I decided to set the alarm for 4pm. I wanted to get up at 4:30 at the latest, because I really wanted to go for a walk on the beach.
I didn’t really sleep, more like dozed off. I don’t know exactly what the reason was. Maybe it was too bright, too many impressions, the anticipation of the round of golf or a bit of everything.
When the alarm clock rang at 4 pm, I wasn’t really well rested. Staying in bed made no sense either. So I got up and looked at the weather. Incredibly, it wasn’t raining. So I didn’t get dressed and went for a walk on the beach. It was simply wonderful, a white sandy beach and the sea. After the long walk without rain I felt fit again.
Back at the lodge, my stomach started to churn. As so often in the last few days, it felt a bit neglected.
Eva and I knew that we would have a kitchen, but we didn’t know what was available. To be honest, we didn’t want to spend the time cooking either, but to see and enjoy as much as possible. So everyone in Sortland had bought the Norwegian ready-made meals that Eva loved so much. These only had to be heated in a water bath and were then ready to serve.
Eva had bought some kind of meat dish and I stayed true to my line with fish. I bought fiskboller with white sauce, carrots and potatoes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meal, I wrote to my Instagram friend. A funny chat developed.
When I sent him a photo of my food, it became even funnier.
Admittedly, I was a little proud that I had bought „fiskeboller“ (fish dumplings, a typical Norwegian dish).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Fiskeboller with a great view. Bon appetit.“, came back<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Can you cook fiskeboller?“, I wanted to know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Yes, but not like this.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I was doubting my knowledge of Norwegian. What other kind of fiskeboller was there? Our Norwegian teacher had only talked about the ones in front of me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So I asked back.
„I don’t understand what you mean. Fiskeboller = Fiskeboller?“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Fiskeboller still includes bacon.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now my confusion was complete. Bacon = ham = bacon. No matter which of the fish and meat together, I still can’t figure it out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Do you really mean bacon?“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Yes, bacon. You get it at the hotel for breakfast.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Hmm, and it tastes good?“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Yes.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Ok. Whether it tastes good has yet to be proven. Next time I go to Norway you can cook fiskeboller with bacon.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We continued chatting for a while, which was also fun, because there were also some linguistic misunderstandings with lots of laughing smileys on both sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
